Regarding to to § 22(3) of Resolution No. 17 of the Senate of the University of Warsaw of 20 January 2021 on the rules of admission to doctoral schools at the University of Warsaw (Monitor UW 2024, item 120), the Director of the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Warsaw announces an additional call for applications to the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences in the discipline of physical sciences.

Scope of scientific specialization to be addressed by the research project: low-energy nuclear physics
Description / Scope / Requirements
The research project focuses on the study of two-proton decay of nuclei in the vicinity of Z = 28, in particular on the analysis of data from an experiment conducted at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University, USA, using an Optical Time Projection Chamber (OTPC) detector. The candidate must have experience in the use of time projection chamber–type detectors. Experience in conducting experiments on rare decay modes of neutron-deficient nuclei at international laboratories, including FRIB, is preferred.
