START 2027 Programme – call for applications

The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) is currently accepting applications for the START 2027 Programme.

The programme is addressed to outstanding young researchers at the beginning of their scientific careers who have documented achievements in their field of research. Doctoral students who meet the eligibility requirements specified in the programme regulations may also apply.

The programme offers annual scholarships aimed at supporting the scientific development of young researchers. In the START 2027 competition, the Foundation plans to award approximately 100 scholarships.

Application deadline

19 October 2026, 11:59 p.m.

Applications for the START 2027 competition are submitted through the FNP electronic system. Before preparing an application, applicants should review the programme regulations and application guidelines.
