Webinar “Academic start-up”

University Center for Technology Transfer of the University of Warsaw together with UWRC sp.z o.o. organizes a May webinar on academic entrepreneurship.

The webinar is addressed to employees, doctoral students and students of the University of Warsaw who want to continue their scientific development or provide research / training services by establishing their own start-up, i.e. a spin-off company with the participation of UWRC.

The questions of whether it is worth it and what are the advantages of establishing a company will be answered during the webinar by Krzysztof Gulda, board member of UWRC.

During the meeting, we will cover the following topics:

What is a spin-off company? (direct vs. indirect commercialization)
The role of UWRC sp.z o.o. – a special purpose vehicle of the University of Warsaw in creating and supporting the development of the University of Warsaw
Portfolio of spin-off companies with shares of UWRC sp.z o.o.
Investment strategy of UWRC sp.z o.o. – why, when and on what conditions UWRC takes up shares in spin-off companies.
The spin-off appointment procedure carried out by UWRC sp.z o.o.

We invite you to the webinar on May 11 this year. from 4 p.m.
Duration: approx. 1 hour (30 min presentation + 30 min question and answer session).
