Interdisciplinary Doctoral School
Prof. dr hab. Maciej Abramowicz – head of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School; Graduated from the departament of Romance Languages at Maria Curie- Skłodowska University (UMCS) where he obrained a doctoral degree (1986) and post doctoral degree (1996). In 2008 he obtained a Professor title. Apart from working at UMCS, for 10 years (1996-2006) he taught at The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL). In 2005 he started to cooperate with The Interdisciplinary Research Institute “Artes Liberales” at the University of Warsaw and in 2011 he became its full time employee. Since 2015 he has been an Associate Dean of Science at the departament of “Artes Liberales”, University of Warsaw. His main field of research is the study of French literature, medieval literature in particular. The second area of research is history, culture, and literature of French language area, Quebec in particular. The third field of interest is ethnolinguistics.
