UPDATE Form of classes in the winter semester 2020/21

UPDATE

Due to the worsening epidemiological situation in Poland, as well as in connection with the Ordinance No. 233 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw of 16th October, all the courses offered in the winter semester 2020/21 at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences will be held online. This rule applies also to the few courses that we planned to hold in a hybrid and stationary form.


Most of the 37 courses offered in the winter semester 2020/21 at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences will be held online. The only exceptions to this rule are specified below.

I semester of education
1. Academic teaching – hybrid form of learning (doctoral students may choose from some groups online and some groups on the campuses)

III semester of education
1. Grant applications (scholar’s workshop)– hybrid form of learning (doctoral students may choose from some groups online and some groups on the campuses)
2. Public speaking (scholar’s workshop)– hybrid form of learning (doctoral students may choose from some groups online and some groups on the campuses)
3. Methodological course – Advanced qualitative methods in social studies (prof. D. Maison) – hybrid form of learning (some classes held online and some classes held on the campus)
4. Specialization course – Conceptions of political order – epistemology and ethics (prof. S. Filipowicz) – classes held on the campus
5. Specialization course – Basic didactic skills: effective teaching in higher education (dr Z. Toeplitz) – classes held on the campus
6. Security studies – discipline seminar (prof. R. Kuźniar) – classes held on the campus
7. Psychology – discipline seminar (dr hab. G. Kmita) – hybrid form of learning (some classes held online and some classes held on the campus)
